Creating an American tradition , one lantern at a time, has been our business for the past 58 years. Our new collection of lighting and accessories represents three generations of handcrafted excellence. We opened our first shop just a few blocks from the Boston home of another great metal smith, Paul Revere. Today we offer hundreds of lighting fixtures, hardware, and accessories for the home.

Every one of our lanterns is a hand-made masterpiece which will last for generations. Here are some features you won't find in lanterns made by others:

1) Accurate design - we have worked closely with historians and collectors to learn which antiques represent the best early american designs. We have duplicated the finishes of priceless 18th and 19th century lanterns.

2) Solid Solder joints - lanterns which have stood the test of time were securely built. All our seams are tight; excess solder is removed.

3) Clear hand blown glass - we use thick glass which, in some cases, has the mark of hand poured or hand blown glass.

4) All-weather wiring - most of our lanterns are UL approved. Each includes the finest UL approved sockets and wiring available. Years of raw weather will not damage our products.

5) Finishes - we hand rub our brass, copper and tin to achieve a soft finish that will develop a rich patina over time.

6) Metal Spinnings - all our metal shaping and spinning is done by hand. Finials and chimneys of our lanterns have the look of real antiques

"I commend you on your fine products, speed of delivery and packaging. We were thrilled with our lamps." - Alicyon Horrace
